Sergio was born in Madrid in 1990, He began in 2002 at the Real Conservatorio de Danza de Madrid<\/strong>, where he graduated with top marks. His professional career began when he joined Rafael Aguilar’s company as a principal dancer and later joined the Workshop of the National Ballet of Spain In 2009 he was part of the Carlos Saura<\/strong> company and toured internationally with Flamenco Hoy<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n In 2012 he joined the National Ballet of Spain<\/strong> as a soloist, becoming a principal dancer in 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In recent years he has traveled the world dancing in the most renowned international star galas with Plis\u00e9tskaya, Rojo, Somova, Obraztsova, Nu\u00f1ez y Polunin<\/strong> among others.<\/p>\n In his repertoire he dances The three cornered hat<\/em><\/strong>, Fantas\u00eda Galaica<\/strong>, Puerta de Tierra<\/strong>, Zapateado de Sarasate<\/strong>, Erita\u00f1a<\/strong> (<\/em>Antonio Ruiz Soler); Bolero<\/strong> (<\/em>Rafael Aguilar); Bolero<\/strong> (<\/em>Granero); The Swan<\/strong>, The last encounter<\/strong> y Concierto Andaluz <\/strong> <\/em>(Ricardo Cue); Electra<\/strong> (<\/em>Antonio Ruz); Apollo<\/strong><\/em>(Balanchine)).<\/em><\/p>\n He dances his own choreographies: <\/span>Overture<\/strong>, Ser<\/strong>, Folia of gentlemen<\/strong>, Orgia<\/strong>, Bolero<\/strong>, Histoire du soldat<\/strong>, Petrushka<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In September 2019 he left the National Ballet of Spain to form his own company together with Ricardo Cue. His first production was ‘A Night with Sergio Bernal’<\/em><\/strong> premiered in Sochi, Russia, along with Joaqu\u00edn de Luz<\/strong> and Miriam Mendoza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In January of that year, he was a special guest artist at the English National Ballet’s 70th anniversary celebration directed by Tamara Rojo<\/strong> at the Coliseum Theater in London.<\/p>\n In October 2020 open the second production \u201cSER\u201d<\/strong> at the Teatros del Canal, Madrid.
